First sheet
1.
"Christian Beliefs about the Afterlife."
Religion Facts
. Blue Host, 11/16/06. Web. 2 Nov 2011. <http://www.religionfacts.com/christianity/beliefs/afterlife.htm>.
2. "The vast majority of Christians believe in a heaven. Some that enjoy the presence of god and others the freedom from suffering and sin."
Different forms of Christianity believe in different forms of punishment and salvation.
3. This source helped me because it gave me a brief and informative description of the christian mindset about the afterlife. I will use this research to show a description of the afterlife in a Christian sense.
4. My next stop is to research other religions and find quotes showing opinions of the afterlife.

Second sheet
1.
Bosman, Julie. "New York Times."
Celestial Sales for Boy’s Tale of Heaven
. New York Times, 11 Mar 2011. Web. 8 Nov 2011. <http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/12/books/heaven-is-for-real-is-publishing-phenomenon.html>.

Near death experience, young child, christian, written into book,
“were just sort of a sea-blue and they seemed to sparkle,”

This source is a secondary source. It gives new insight on how believable certain religions are. I can say that this boy had near death experience and list what he said. This is good information for my topic.
My next step is to find more stories like this to use.

  • Overall summary of your learning from religion unit (focus on 2-3 general understandings).
  • Why did you choose this topic? What different things did you learn while researching and creating the project?
  • How do you feel about the final product? What are its strengths and what are its weaknesses?

I learned a lot from the religion unit. I learned about many different beliefs and practices that are involved around the world. Also how to understand and relate all religions.
I chose my topic because i thought it was interesting and the afterlife is a topic that I am interested in myself. I learned that many religions have common beliefs, like Islam and Christianity. In which they both have a main god.
I feel pretty good about my final product I think it looks good and it also informative. My project would be better if it was longer and had more quotes.
